Youll spend significant time testing systems in demanding conditions working hands-on with autonomous platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable mission-critical technology.
What Youll Do
- Develop and refine autonomy and networking software optimizing performance in live environments.
- Deploy and test autonomous systems in the field identifying and resolving real-world issues across autonomy perception and control.
- Analyze mission data to drive continuous software and systems improvement.
- Integrate new autonomy features ensuring seamless interaction between sensors compute and vessel hardware.
- Collaborate with operators and engineers to align performance with mission needs and customer feedback.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across software hardware and networking layers during deployments.
- Document and standardize best practices deployment procedures and debugging workflows.
- Lead initiatives from design through deployment including live demonstrations and customer field trials.
What Were Looking For
- 23 years of software development experience in robotics autonomy or embedded systems.
- Strong proficiency in C Rust or Python with a deep understanding of Linux-based systems.
- Experience working with networking protocols (TCP/IP UDP) and message-passing frameworks.
- Exposure to computer vision LiDAR 3D object detection or sensor fusion.
- Familiarity with Kalman filters and real-time systems.
- Hands-on experience debugging complex hardware/software integrations.
- Comfortable with extensive travel (up to 50%) long hours and field deployments.
- U.S. Person status required (citizen green card holder asylee or refugee as defined by U.S. law).
