Job Summary
J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers is seeking an Assembler/Welder who will be responsible for assembling components and performing welding tasks to produce high-quality products to meet the companys specifications. The role combines mechanical assembly with welding and fabrication requiring attention to detail safety and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other job-related duties may be assigned in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assemble components and subassemblies using hand tools power tools and machinery.
- Perform welding operations to join and fabricate metal parts.
- Set up operate and maintain tools welding equipment and fixtures.
- Prepare materials for assembly and welding by cutting grinding and cleaning as needed.
- Report defective parts material shortages or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a safe clean and organized work area.
- Safely perform duties always wearing required PPE.
- Observes and complies with all provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS
- Safe operation of all lifting devices such as overhead & jib cranes and forklift trucks when authorized & properly trained.
Education and/or Experience
- Vocational/technical training is preferred or a high school diploma or general education degree with work experience in an industrial setting is also desired.
