Job Description

Oberg Industries is looking for a talented Precision Assembler/Welder to bring your skills to a team that produces world-class components for the medical the Precision Assembler/Welder role you will assemble and weld precision parts using your craftsmanship to ensure every product meets our exacting quality standards. What You Will Do as a Precision Assembler/Welder:
  • Assemble precision finished product to meet customer specifications.
  • Perform detailed assembly and welding tasks requiring excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Polish components to achieve a high-quality finished appearance.
  • Handle small detailed components using a microscope for precision tasks.
  • Operate manual equipment including an arbor press manual lathe and basic hand tools and perform minor troubleshooting.
  • Perform Laser welding CNC Laser welding and Micro-TIG welding.
  • Occasionally operate a CNC Laser Marking machine to apply precision markings to components.
  • Assist machine operators with part changes during production runs.
  • Accurately count track and document units of materials moved or handled.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring to our Team:
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Effective written verbal or other forms of communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
  • Ability to wear personal protection equipment such as earplugs safety glasses and safety shoes.

Preferred Education/Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One-year machining related experience preferred.
  • Precision assembly experience within a tool and die environment preferred.
  • Welding experience preferred.
  • Computer experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to sit stand bend lift and move for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move materials (up to 35 lbs. with control and unassisted).
  • Raise arms above shoulders and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to wear PPE (safety glasses steel toe shoes ear protection etc.).

Work Environment at Oberg:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally around large industrial machinery and the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts that create a moderately high noise level. At Oberg Industries we believe in fostering a collaborative on-site work environment. Accordingly employees are expected to be on-site in order to perform their job.
