About the Opportunity:

Northwest Talent Solutions LLC in partnership with a leading global food manufacturer is seeking a skilled Electrical & Automation Engineer to support high-speed production operations on the second shift. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and enjoys solving complex automation challenges that drive safety quality and performance.

What Youll Do:

  • Diagnose troubleshoot and repair control systems PLCs HMIs and industrial automation equipment.

  • Develop and implement PLC programs (Allen-Bradley) to enhance line performance and efficiency.

  • Lead system optimization projects that reduce downtime and elevate production throughput.

  • Partner with maintenance and operations teams to ensure preventive maintenance is executed effectively.

  • Maintain documentation and reporting on system performance equipment reliability and process improvements.

  • Supervise and train shift electricians ensuring safety compliance and technical excellence.

What Were Looking For:

  • 5 years of experience in automation controls or electrical engineering within manufacturing.

  • Strong PLC programming skills (Allen-Bradley required).

  • Working knowledge of HMIs VFDs SCADA systems and industrial networking.

  • Experience with SAP-PM work orders and asset management.

  • Hands-on approach with strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a high-performance 24/7 manufacturing environment.

  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs climb steps and work in variable temperatures.

Preferred Education:
Bachelors or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
