The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an entry-level sales role responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying contacting and qualifying potential customers. This position is crucial for building a healthy sales pipeline and supporting the company growth objectives. The BDR will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to research prospects initiate outreach and set qualified meetings for account executives.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and identify potential customers through market analysis competitor research and CRM tools.
- Generate and qualify leads via outbound (cold calling emailing networking) and inbound (responding to inquiries website leads) methods.
- Initiate contact with prospective clients present company offerings and assess their needs.
- Set appointments and schedule meetings for sales executives or account managers.
- Maintain and update lead and activity records in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for reaching sales targets.
- Follow up with leads who have shown interest but have not yet converted nurturing relationships as needed.
- Attend industry events trade shows and networking sessions to build relationships and generate leads.
- Stay updated on market trends customer personas and product developments.
- Provide regular reports on lead generation activities and results to management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in business marketing or a related field.
- 0 - 3 years of experience in sales business development or customer service (internships or part-time roles are a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English language.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce Odoo HubSpot).
- Excellent research analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High energy resilience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines and quotas.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the sales field.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of the Saudi digital transformation market or experience selling SaaS/cloud solutions.
- Familiarity with sales techniques lead qualification and pipeline management.
- Experience with outbound prospecting and cold calling.
