We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Admin to manage and optimize mission-critical SQL Server databases ensuring performance reliability and scalability for enterprise financial applications.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Install configure and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
Monitor and optimize database performance ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
Implement backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies.
Manage SQL Server clustering replication and Always On high-availability solutions.
Optimize SQL queries stored procedures and indexing strategies for maximum efficiency.
Plan capacity and scalability to support business growth.
Apply patches service packs and version upgrades with controlled change management.
Support developers with database design performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Maintain documentation for configurations processes and data governance policies.
Ensure compliance with internal security standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide 24x7 on-call support for critical production systems when required.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of strong experience in MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL administration.
Installation configuration and upgrading of database servers and related tools.
Database performance monitoring and troubleshooting of bottlenecks.
Backup restore and disaster recovery planning and execution.
Replication clustering and high-availability setup and maintenance.
SQL query optimization stored procedures and indexing strategies.
Capacity planning and scalability management for databases.
Applying patches service packs and version upgrades with minimal downtime.
Supporting developers in database design tuning and debugging.
Maintaining documentation for database configurations and policies.
Ensuring data security governance and regulatory compliance.
