Emburse is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering this role you will bridge the gap between software development and quality assurance designing and implementing robust automated testing frameworks that ensure the reliability performance and scalability of our applications. As an SDET youll collaborate closely with developers product managers and QA engineers to build efficient test solutions drive continuous integration and maintain a high standard of product quality across all releases.

As a Customer Support Engineer youll play a key role in supporting our online expense management SaaS platform where technology and finance meet. This role requires strong technical and analytical skills alongside an understanding of financial processes and accounting principles. Youll assist customers whose data flows between our platform and their AP or ERP systems helping to diagnose and resolve complex issues analyse financial data and ensure accuracy across integrated workflows. Experience with accounting software ERP environments or AP processes will help you translate technical insight into clear reliable solutions that deliver real value to our customers.
Requirements
- Education Required: Associate or Bachelors degree college diploma in related field and/or equivalent experience required
- 4 years of Testing/Quality Engineering experience in software domain
- Broad knowledge of Computer Science concepts and technologies
- Experience working in Scrum/Agile and DevOps environment
- Experience designing and implementing automated tests using tools such as Pytest Selenium or similar tools
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages and concepts (Python Java etc..)
- Comfortable with SQL and writing SQL queries
- Exposure to RESTful APIs and experience with Postman or other equivalent tools
- Some experience with load/performance testing and tools
- Able to find opportunities for improvement and tackle them without external direction
- Experience with front-end and back-end automation frameworks (Selenium QA Robot Playwright Pytest RestAssured etc)
- Comfortable with CI/CD build package configuration and release management tools (eg. Jenkins Ansible Gitlab/Github)
Bonus Points
- Knowledge/Experience with K8S/Docker AWS
- Exposure to infrastructure observability tools such as Grafana OpenSearch Coralogix Datadog
