Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety punctuality and professionalism in all interactions.
Box truck driver responsibilities
Delivery: Accurately and safely deliver customer orders to job sites and other company branches.
Customer service: Maintain a high standard of service during all deliveries and interactions.
Material handling: Safely load and unload materials onto the delivery truck.
Documentation: Ensure all delivery paperwork is accurate and processed correctly.
Vehicle inspection: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition.
Combined warehouse responsibilities
Since this is a dual-role position additional responsibilities include:
Receiving and safely storing materials in the warehouse.
Picking and packing customer orders for pickup or delivery.
Operating a forklift (requires certification which company provides).
Qualifications and requirements
Experience: One year of experience in a related industry is often preferred.
Skills: Must have basic computer skills and the ability to read a map or follow written directions.
Physical: The job requires physical mobility and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
For a box truck under 26000 lbs. a Chauffeurs license (Class D) and a medical card are required in Louisiana.
Hours : 6 AM to 4:30 PM.
Full time 40 to 50 hrs weekly
