| The Nursing Technician II supports the Registered Nurse through observing and documenting patient conditions. Working under general supervision this role provides patient support through progressive mobility and assistance with daily tasks as needed. |
Responsibilities
|
Supports patients with daily living tasks including meals personal care and progressive mobility in order to support the recovery and plan of care. Assesses patients quality of life related to nutrition hydration and elimination in order to distribute resources and anticipate patient needs. Admits transfers and discharges patients in order to move them to the appropriate locations in line with the plan of care. Assists with patient elimination needs including ostomy care enemas and condom catheters to provide comfortable care for patients. Maintains unit inventories of supplies and equipment in order to ensure a clean and safe environment in adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals. Checks that fall risk patients have the appropriate arm bands socks and signage to ensure physical safety. Performs other duties as assigned. |
Qualifications

| Required: High School Diploma or equivalent |
| EXPERIENCE: |
| Required: 1 year of related experience |
| LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
| Required: NT II - Licensure - Required NAI/ Nurse Aide I NA II/ Nursing Assistant II BLS (CPR) - American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. Currently listed and in good standing as a Nurse Tech II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing and as a Nurse Tech I with the NC Nurse Aide Registry required. |
