POSITIONSUMMARY:
The EarlyLearning Assistant/Floater position supports the work of the YMCA of CollierCounty Inc. a leading not-for-profit organization committed to strengtheningthe communities in Collier County through its core focus areas of YouthDevelopment Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. The Early Learning Assistant/Floater assiststhe supervisor and teachers in providing excellent educational opportunitiesand care for young children (aged 3 mos. 5 years).

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:
Assist classroom teacher in developing and implementing classroomcurriculum lesson plans and daily schedule.
Oversee specific components of classroom management as assigned.
Monitor children at all times.
Keep written records of childrens development and skills.
Maintain accurate daily attendance records.
Attend regular meetings with the Early Learning Manager/Directorthe Youth and Family Director and teaching staff to discuss assess and planfor various aspects of the Program such as curriculum lesson plans scheduleclassroom procedures childrens development extracurricular activitiesconcerns of or about parents and any other issues that may arise.
Organize room before and clean room and playground after dailyProgram.
Maintain and preserve all program equipment and supplies.
Report all problems incidents and accidents to supervisorimmediately.
Complete written incident/illness/accident reports as necessarywith teacher assistance.
Promote a positive relationship with parents by making a point ofgreeting them daily sharing good news about their children with them andinforming them of any relevant information in a timely manner.
Be a supportive member of the team with the ability to act as asubstitute when the lead teacher is out.
Be familiar with YMCA mission policies and procedures.
Participate in YMCA programs and promotions.
Be an enthusiastic dedicated reliable and committed member ofour team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Meetall Department of Children and Family standards.
Certificationin Infant Child and Adult CPR and Basic First Aid.
Completionof 45-hour child care course required by the State of Florida.
18years or older
Holdand maintain a drivers license with reliable transportation.
Degreein Early Childhood Education or CDA (preferred)
Abilityto relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economicsegments of the community.
