Position Summary: Under the direction of the Dean of the School of Education and the Director of Graduate Education the Student Teaching Placement Coordinator/Credential Analyst performs specialized functions defined by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and Vanguard University. This role is responsible for placing student teachers in their fieldwork/clinical practice sites. This role also audits the qualifications for admission preparation and completion of fieldwork credential recommendations and employment authorization for teaching credential candidates. The position begins in November 2025. Essential Functions: Student Teaching Placement Duties This section of the role focuses on coordinating and supporting all aspects of the student teaching experience. Placement and Communication - Act as a liaison with school districts and county offices to establish partnerships and ensure effective support systems for student teachers are in place.
- Communicate effectively with district personnel mentor teachers and university supervisors throughout the placement experience.
- Create and facilitate contracts and assist in the assigning of university supervisors.
- Respond to concerns from school administrators or mentor teachers.
Student Progress and Tracking - Monitor and track student teachers progress ensuring they meet clearance and fieldwork requirements.
- Work with the Data Analyst with deploying student teacher master teacher and university supervisor surveys
- Coordinate student teaching evaluations.
- Maintain databases of district agreements.
- Collaborate with the TPA Coordinator to share student lists.
Resources and Administration - Maintain and update student teaching handbooks and forms. Facilitate stipend agreements and payments for master teachers and university supervisors.
University Supervisors - Assign University Supervisors to the appropriate student teaching candidate in compliance with CTC regulations
- Serve as a liaison to University Supervisors
- Coordinate University Supervisor orientation and trainings with Education faculty
- Facilitate University Supervisor stipend agreement and payments including long distance payment fees
Credential Analyst Duties and Student Support This part of the role involves managing student records and ensuring compliance with credentialing requirements. Candidate Advising - Serve as the primary point of contact and academic advisor for current and prospective students helping them determine appropriate credential and degree programs.
- Manage and maintain candidate records evaluate transcripts and prepare letters verifying students eligibility for employment.
Compliance and Reporting - Process review and recommend students to the CTC for all credential licensure and authorization requests.
- Assist in the collection and completion of annual data submission (ASD) reports for the CTC and Federal Title II reports.
Collaboration and Professional Development - Work with campus staff and faculty to track student progress and collaborate with clinical practice professors to access required student documents.
- Participate in Candidate Support Committee (CSC) meetings.
- Serve as a liaison to external entities
- Stay current with state certification laws by attending conferences online office hours and workshops.
Other Duties Candidate Support Committee (CSC) member-supporting candidates facing challenges during the program. Maintain membership and participate in the Teacher Education Advisory Council (TEAC) meetings. Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean and/or Program Director. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelors degree
- Experience with public education systems preferred
- Some knowledge of accreditation and or teacher credentialing preferred
- Experience working with diverse students and colleagues
- Experience developing effective partnerships in the community (e.g. school districts nonprofit organizations).
- Experience with higher education institutions preferred
- Knowledge of or experience with online education preferred.
- Evidence of a deep and vibrant faith in Christ.
Salary: Full-time position. $62400 (Annual). Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Compensation includes a generous benefits plan. |
