Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient LEAD PIPELINE ENGINEER to oversee the engineering design and construction activities of major pipeline infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and ensuring all pipeline systems are designed constructed and maintained in compliance with international standards regulatory requirements and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Lead the detailed engineering and design of onshore pipelines
- Review and approve pipeline engineering deliverables including P&IDs route plans alignment sheets isometrics stress analyses and material take-offs.
- Ensure the implementation of best engineering practices for integrity safety and cost-efficiency.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate closely with project management procurement construction HSE and QA/QC teams to deliver high-quality pipeline systems.
- Coordinate with local authorities clients and consultants to ensure regulatory and permitting requirements are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and site teams.
Construction Support
- Oversee pipeline installation methods.
- Perform constructability reviews and risk assessments for field execution.
- Participate in site visits and technical audits to ensure alignment with specifications.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ASME API ISO Aramco and other applicable codes and standards.
- Support the development and enforcement of quality assurance/control plans.
- Address non-conformities and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Pipeline Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in pipeline design and construction with at least 3 years in a lead engineering role.
- Proven track record in large-scale infrastructure or oil & gas projects ideally within the Middle East.
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and procedures is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in engineering software such as CAESAR II AutoPIPE AutoCAD Navisworks and GIS tools.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline stress analysis material selection corrosion protection and fluid hydraulics.
Soft Skills
- Excellent leadership communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment with tight deadlines and dynamic project scopes.
Location: Al Khobar (Site)
Contract duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension.
