Job Summary
- Conduct engaging and informative game drives and guided bush walks for local and international guests.
- Share in-depth knowledge of the local flora fauna ecosystems and conservation efforts.
- Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
- Assist with reserve-related activities such as monitoring wildlife movements reporting sightings and supporting conservation initiatives.
- Work closely with lodge management and the hospitality team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain vehicles equipment and guide areas to company standards.
- Contribute to training and mentoring of junior staff or students when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Field Guide within a Big 5 or similar environment.
- Recognised guiding qualification (Nature Site Guide NQF Level 2 or higher equivalent).
- Valid drivers license and Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic well-presented and guest-focused with a passion for conservation and the natural environment.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to a flexible remote working environment.
- First Aid certification.
- Photography or birding interest advantageous.
- Experience hosting international guests.
