Job Summary
The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with strong technical expertise and advanced English communication skills to join our engineering team. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle contribute to architectural decisions and help scale high-performance applications. This role involves collaboration with international English-speaking teams so fluent written and spoken communication is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Design build and maintain robust Ruby on Rails applications and services.
- Develop clean scalable and maintainable code using best engineering practices.
- Lead technical discussions and system design reviews.
- Integrate with external APIs and internal microservices.
- Develop automated tests (unit integration API) to ensure code quality.
- Optimize application performance and ensure platform reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with Product Design QA and DevOps teams.
- Mentor other developers and contribute to engineering standards.
Requirements:
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails development.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby OOP RESTful APIs and software architecture.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and ActiveRecord.
- Knowledge of Redis Sidekiq or other background job frameworks.
- Experience with Git code reviews and CI pipelines.
- Familiarity with frontend basics (HTML/CSS/JavaScript; StimulusJS/Turbo optional).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced English level (C1 or equivalent) fluent communication in international environments.
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) teams.
