Job Summary
RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS /2 years Traveler Experience: Not required Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: Teamwork approach to patient care Focus on patient safety Certs: ACLS and BLS PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: NIH Neuro exp preferred Experience/willing to learn the charge nurse role preferred JOB DETAILS: *THIS IS A NEURO UNIT Ratios: 1:6 Shift: NIGHT 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48 hours. 13-26 weeks accepted RTO: 7 days MAX; Float Requirement: yes travelers float first Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend) Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed. PATIENT DIAGNOSES: General medicine focus on neuro UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication Documentation Communication): Pyxis EPIC SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE: Manager Schedules UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 Hours SCRUBS: Navy Blue *** INTERNAL NOTES *** Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
