Summary:
-
Create modify and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g. Mastercam SolidWorks CATIA).
-
Develop detailed setup instructions and tooling specifications.
-
Improve existing programs to enhance efficiency reduce cycle times and improve quality.
-
Set up and configure 5-axis CNC machines including workpiece and tooling alignment.
-
Conduct test runs and make necessary adjustments for accuracy and performance.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve machining tooling or program-related issues.
-
Interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
-
Select appropriate machining parameters based on materials tools and machine capabilities.
-
Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
-
Partner with engineers designers and production staff to ensure alignment on project goals.
-
Provide technical support and training to operators and team members.
-
Document program changes setups and process improvements.
-
Follow quality control procedures to ensure precision and consistency.

Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling.
-
Review measurement reports and verify part tolerances.
-
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
-
Maintain compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or CNC programming certification preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer with a focus on 5-axis machining.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
