Data Engineer (Multiple Roles Mid to Lead Level)

Location: Wilmington DE (Onsite 5 days per week)

About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled Data Engineers at multiple experience levels to join a growing technology team in Wilmington DE. This role involves hands-on work designing building and optimizing data pipelines using Python PySpark and AWS. Ideal candidates will be passionate about data engineering cloud technologies and modern data architecture.

There are three openings for this position based on experience level:

Role 1: Lead Data Engineer 10 years of experience (Pay rate: $80/hr W2)
Role 2: Senior Data Engineer 6 7 years of experience (Pay rate: $70/hr W2)
Role 3: Mid-Level Data Engineer 4 years of experience (Pay rate: $60/hr W2)

Key Responsibilities

Design build and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Python and PySpark.
Work with AWS cloud services to manage and optimize large-scale data processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and implement efficient solutions.
Develop and manage data models ensuring data integrity accuracy and security.
Optimize data storage transformation and retrieval processes for performance and scalability.
Implement data governance quality checks and automation where appropriate.
Lead or mentor junior engineers (for senior/lead roles).

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Python and PySpark.
Proven experience in AWS data services (e.g. S3 Glue Redshift Lambda EMR).
Expertise in data pipeline design ETL development and data modeling.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work fully onsite and participate in face-to-face interviews.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with LLM (Large Language Models) or AI-related data workflows.
Familiarity with Azure OpenAI Terraform Apache Airflow Cassandra or Databricks.
Knowledge of CI/CD containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and data orchestration tools.
