Forklift Operator: Production
The forklift production is responsible for providing product using a forklift or manual pallet jack to and from the lines.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bringing and receiving the correct material to and from the line.
Keep lines stocked with product per production schedule.
Performs safety inspection checks on forklift.
Verifies orders and components.
Responsible for wrapping skids.
Operates forklift power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload move or store materials.
Follows work instructions and pays attention to details.
Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor leads and/or to safety.
Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production.
Meets quality standards for the line.
Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements rules and regulations.
Must be able to work required overtime as needed.
Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience:
Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Able to read and write in English preferred but not required.
Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition subtraction multiplication and division. Plus knowledge of fractions and decimals.
Previous manufacturing warehouse forklift experience preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Able to coordinate shipping products.
Strong time management skills.
Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule format.
Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.
