Job Summary:
Certified Nursing Assistants or CNAs assist nurses and other medical staff by providing direct personal care for patients. This position is best suited for someone who genuinely cares for others well-being. The CNA will provide task-based care to independent living residents at a facility in Acworth.
CNA Compensation and Benefits:
Pay is competitive based on experience in the industry.(Compensation is variable and depends on the type of shift/visit day of the week and complexity of care provided.)
- Hours for this role is Mon-Fri 8a-4p beginning ASAP. Temporary for about 3 months afterwards opportunity to continuewith our company PRN on one on one home care and staffing.
- We offer medical dental and vision benefits through Cigna if you maintain FT hours (32/wk). Other benefits include discounts at the salon spa and dining in the community.
CNA Responsibilities:
Help clients with daily activities including but not limited to: bathing dressing serving meals helping clients eat/ get to dining ambulating with clients taking them to activities in the community
Take vital signs
Examine clients for bruises blood in urine or other injuries/wounds and report to clinical team and family
Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers nurses doctors and family members
Assist with toileting
Lift clients into beds wheelchairs exam tables etc.
Clean and sanitize client areas including changing bed sheets
Stay up-to-date on CNA training policies and procedures
Listen to clients and be prepared to respond to concerns or requests
CNA Requirements:
Access to reliable transportation
- Compassionate and friendly demeanor
Valid Drivers license and car insurance
High school diploma or GED
Valid CNA in the state of GA
Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
- Proof of negative TB test within the last 12 months
Ability to think and work independently and with direction
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Good communication skills and bedside manner with a compassionate personality
Speak read and write fluent English
