The successful candidate will assume professional responsibilities within API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient).
This position will focus on Lean/Six Sigma/IMEx system implementation sustainment and continued improvement within API Operations.
API Operational Excellence Manager will support the full API Organization (15 to 25 Process Centric Teams) across all levels of the business (T0 T1 T1.5 T2 T3 etc.).
This position will require being able to present and speak to large groups both shop floor site leadership and visitors. This position is designed to advance the API IMEx culture and Lean/RFT culture by proactively identifying opportunities solving problems and implement solutions to improve operational safety supply financial and quality performance within API Operations. Advance a Lean/RFT culture through advocating and coaching colleagues throughout the organization on the use of IMEx principles RFT techniques and Lean Six Sigma methodology.
What You Will Achieve
A primary responsibility in this position is to demonstrate teach coach and develop colleagues to embrace continuous improvement as a way of doing business by supporting use of the Lean/Six Sigma/IMEx structure for data driven decisions.
Lead and sustain IMEx deployments across API including T2 VMMC and CI processes. Responsible for oversight of IMEx processes across the API Organization with continued coaching development to sustain qualified Process Centric Teams. Facilitate all IMEx workshop sessions during deployments including Phase 2 PCTs as well as sustainment Kaizen events for qualified each deployment area provide assistance to professionals within the PCT (i.e. Plant Professionals PCT leads Team leads etc.).
Support lead and coach project teams that are critical to the API business need including: safety and supply performance cost reduction/avoidance and efficiency improvements.
This role will also support other API Operations areas as needed.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Applicant must have a bachelors degree with at least 4 years of experience; OR a masters degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of experience; OR as associates degree with 8 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience.
Strong leadership and influencing capabilities across all organizational levels
Microsoft Applications willingness to learn and utilize SAP QTS QPSNT
Demonstrated ability to write effectively with emphasis on technical content.
Understanding of how regulatory standard and guidance documents as well as evolving cGMPS impact pharmaceutical production.
Knowledge and/or experience in process excellence IMEx (Operational Management Systems) and performance improvement tools.
Physical/Mental Requirements
Frequent time in the manufacturing area around equipment with moving parts stair climbing roof access.
Non-Standard Work Schedule Travel or Environment Requirements
Office environment with frequent time in the manufacturing. Use of hearing and eye protection is required.
