Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer for programs related to T&C Satellite Mission Management and Scheduling in support of our mission critical customers as well as the OS/COMET COTS software product. Position is located in our Melbourne FL office but will allow for telework.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customer operators to become familiar with solutions and the OS/COMET product
- Integration and checkout of systems going through a transition to operations
- Support for test events mission rehearsals deployments and launch operations
- Development of satellite ground station and mission management systems.
- Collaborating with product/program managers to define project requirements scope and deliverables.
- Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Providing technical expertise for proposals
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Min 12 years with BS/BA Min 10 years with MS/MA Min 7 years with PhD
- Min 6-10 years of Consolidated Ground System experience in an Engineering Discipline
- Experience managing multi-mission systems for both terrestrial and space weather programs
- Experience utilizing the OS/COMET COTS product
- Ability to update and train others on OS/COMET configs and perform files
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Extensive experience with Linux particularly RHEL
- Familiarity with NOAA and NASA ground systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Systems Engineering Tools (e.g. Rational DOORS)
- Familiar with the Atlassian tool suite including Jira Insight Confluence Risk Register Crucible Bitbucket Git etc.
- Familiar with CAMEO (or related) architecture Design Tools that support Models Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Familiar with working within a distributed virtual team environment with proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to foster strong relationships with coworkers and vendors.
- In addition to conventional SDLC requirements work also carry at least a familiarity with security controls related to NIST 800-53 and related solutions; certification is desirable but not required
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to dynamically tailor communications effectively to different levels of the organization

Target Salary Range
$135000 - $216000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
