About the role

You will provide a range of operational financial transactional services to both internal and external clients including the preparation of purchase orders receipting and matching deliveries payments of suppliers and staff debtors invoicing data entry and analysis.

You will:

  • respond to enquiries with accurate advice on financial service procedures guidelines and taxation/reporting requirements;

  • provide a range of financial transactional services to clients;

  • administer debt management on overdue invoices in accordance with university payment terms; and

  • adhere to all University financial tax audit legal and corporate governance requirements and provisions as they relate to the financial services functions.

About you

Working closely with the Accounts Receivable Officer you are responsible for applying knowledge of financial transactional processes and relevant policy procedure legislative and regulatory requirements to analyse and solve problems as well as ensure compliance.

You will possess:

  • experience in financial transactional services;

  • knowledge of taxation requirements such as GST and FBT as they relate to general expenditure income and payments to employees;

  • numerical analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify potential issues and make considered recommendations for issue resolution; and

  • relationship management skills and an ability to negotiate with and influence clients and stakeholders.
