About the Role -
Are you ready to lead marine infrastructure operations that support national interests We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced professionals for the role of Marine Facilities Manager within our Government & Defence division overseeing operations at a strategic berthing facility in Darwin.
This leadership role is responsible for the safe compliant and efficient management of marine infrastructure including wharf operations vessel movements refuelling and maintenance. Youll be responsible for and to lead and manage a multi-disciplined team coordinate with internal teams contractors and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and readiness across the site.
Key Responsibilities and duties but not limited to -
Lead daily operations of marine facilities including berthing refuelling and infrastructure maintenance.
Manage compliance with maritime safety regulations environmental standards and defence protocols.
Oversee site access mobilisation and emergency response coordination.
Develop and maintain operational documentation maintenance schedules and audit readiness.
Drive continuous improvement in marine services delivery asset management and contractor performance.
Support capital works upgrades and sustainability initiatives across the facility.
Liaise with port authorities regulatory bodies and defence representatives.
What Youll Bring to succeed within this role -
Proven experience in marine infrastructure port operations or naval logistics.
Strong understanding of maritime legislation WHS and asset/facilities management.
Demonstrated leadership in managing teams contractors and complex operations.
Proficiency in marine coordination systems Microsoft Office and compliance reporting.
Excellent stakeholder engagement communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure with a proactive and analytical mindset.
