Job Summary
The camera team is looking for a calibration & instrumentation engineer to define and develop calibration and test strategies for new camera components. You will be responsible for specification design prototyping validation and optimization of test metrology and algorithms for camera testing and calibration during Apples new product introduction (NPI). You will work in close collaboration with Optical Sensor & Camera Design groups within Apple to ensure the success of the current and future Apple products.
- BS in EE/CS/CE/Physics/Optics or related technical field
- 3 years of relevant proven experience
- In-depth knowledge of camera/optical system working principles
- Experience with camera and optical sensor calibration techniques and metrology
- Very strong interpersonal skills with ability to deliver technical and executive-level presentations
- Programming experience in C C Objective-C or Python
- MS in EE/CS/CE/Physics/Optics or related technical field
- Experience with driving AI/ML projects
- Experience with fabrication and assembly of camera and optical sensors
- Experience with computer vision algorithms and image processing
- Experience with plotting processing and mining data
- Experience with simulation workflows and synthetic dataset generation
- System engineering approach to quickly familiarize yourself with sophisticated processes (example factory infrastructure mechanical design algorithms and SW deployment)
- Effective in breaking down and prioritizing between many sophisticated tasks
