What youll do
The UX prototyping engineer will join our mission to define and design the interaction between the driver and our AD/ADAS functions. The objective of the role is to develop methods and tools to support our development and increase our capacity of delivering with high-quality faster while building necessary prototypes for our internal product refinement and to gain necessary insights for design decisions. The Human Centric team is owner of a visualization function in the DIM display and is working with driver monitoring capabilities and functions. The Senior UX prototyping engineer will bring software competence to the team (both front-end and back-end) and guide others in understanding AD/ADAS system design. You will be the main driver for deriving insights on costumer usage from different data sources and apply scripts to analyse data.
Collaboration is key to this role as the UX prototyping Engineer will work closely with Costumer Function owner UX organization software suppliers and multiple Volvo Car Corporation (VCC) teams. You will lead and empower colleagues in their competence area while actively seeking opportunities to learn and develop yourself.

We believe that you have experience/knowledge in systemization and design of AD/ADAS functions and/or vehicle HMI. You bring front-end development experience with coding skills to independently work with C/C Python Unreal/SVELTE Linux. You carry data analytics skills to make data-driven decisions in product development. You bring aMSc education in engineering (preferably software related education) as well as strong communicative skills and high ability to execute and solve problems together with others.
