Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of storekeepers to ensure stock accuracy compliance with specifications and adherence to company rules and regulations.
  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency safety and proper inventory control.
  • Conduct and verify periodic stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Develop implement and continuously improve storage systems and layout for optimal space utilization.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to ageing or slow-moving inventory.
  • Ensure accuracy of stock data in system records through consistent checks and process controls.
  • Evaluate establish and maintain standard operating procedures for goods receipt documentation and issuance processes.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Production Planning and Logistics teams to support timely material flow and dispatch.

Education & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Warehouse Management Logistics Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse inventory or finished goods management with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and experience using inventory or ERP systems.

Skills

  • Proven leadership and people management capabilities to supervise motivate and develop a team of storekeepers.
  • Proactive in troubleshooting inventory and operational issues.
  • Strong knowledge of stock control procedures and warehouse best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and regulatory requirements.
