About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as a Retail Design Manager. The Retail Design Manager will be responsible for delivering industry best practice and innovative retail designs for our Metcash Food & Grocery retailers. This will be achieved through effective management and co-ordination between Metcash the Retailer and Developer.
In this Role
- Design and document new and refurbished supermarket fit-outs
- Manage project approvals ensuring alignment with Metcash standards and timelines
- Coordinate design and construction documents across internal and external teams
- Review third-party plans to ensure optimal store outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulations and tenancy requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders including developers consultants and internal teams
- Conduct site investigations / measure-ups and prepare Existing Conditions Feasibility and Concept Plans
- Analyse store layouts to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
Youre Likely a Match If:
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Experience in supermarket or food retail design (preferred).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD (Revit family creation a plus).
- Skills in Enscape or similar presentation tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing relevant 2D/3D design documentation and presentation.
- Solid understanding of supermarket and/or food retail design requirements including equipment layout operations food safety services (MEP) and compliance (BCA/NCC/DDA/AS).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A creative innovative mindset with strong stakeholder and time management skills
