Job Summary

Position Summary

The Transactional Finance Leader will be responsible for the end-to-end Transactional Finance operations and procedures across multiple markets.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will need to be involved with customers and suppliers working with our offshore GCC and partnering with the business to drive efficiency via automation for all Transactional Finance processes within Microsoft Dynamics. Ultimately you will be designing a scalable Finance function that enables our business growth.

Were looking for someone who is ambitious curious focused on customer service and process improvement and can handle a fast-paced environment while building strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership

  • Establish clear outcome-driven KPIs for all direct reports and the department including monthly tracking and reporting

  • Ensure professional communication with all stakeholders (including Customers) at all times

  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on customer service excellence whilst also delivering the accuracy and timeliness

  • Build a high performance culture always intent on exceeding expectations and improving results

2. Process Design & Monitoring of Delivery

  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the end-to-end transaction flow

  • Design and monitor effectiveness of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the A/P A/R and Credit Control teams

  • Define SLAs that meet business requirements

  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and maintain regular communication with delivery teams

  • Take timely action to ensure SLA performance is achieved / exceeded escalating within the Delivery function as necessary

  • Implement and oversee automation initiatives lowering our cost per transaction

3. Financial Control & Risk Management

  • Ensure all key controls are in place fit for purpose and effective resulting in timely customer invoicing and mitigation of write-offs

  • Manage escalations and resolve complex queries

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures across all markets

4. Performance Management & Reporting

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators including SLA performance Cost per Transaction Automation rates DSO aged debt and collection targets

  • Develop and implement initiatives that improve performance

5. Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers operational teams and offshore partners

  • Act as subject matter expert providing recommendations and insights

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve queries and improve processes

  • Represent the finance function professionally across all markets including handling customer and supplier escalations

Essential Requirements

Above all this is a leadership role. This will require management of people management of an off-shore delivery partner leadership of a function and leadership within the business. As this is a client facing role professionalism is paramount.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience across Transactional Finance in a business to business environment (Corporate Travel Agency experience would be preferred);

  • Proven experience in leading a team (minimum 2 years) and working with off-shore delivery partners

  • Experience working across multiple markets/jurisdictions

  • Strong background in process improvement and SOP development

Technical Skills

  • Excel skills (pivot tables vlookup)

  • Credit Card enhanced data handoff experience (beneficial)

  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Credit Control and Debt Collection processes

  • Prior experience using Microsoft Dynamics in a business to business would be advantageous

Core Competencies

  • Exceptional communication skills in English (written and verbal); additional languages (Malay Cantonese Bahasa Japanese) would be beneficial but are not required

  • Ability to make decisions independently including assessing when this requires collaboration

  • Strong customer service orientation with negotiation skills

  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities

  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy standards

  • Adaptable with continuous improvement mindset
