Federal Contract Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident
JOB PURPOSE: The Lead Case Manager at the Eagle Lake Childrens Center is responsible for the safe and timely release of minors in care by training new Case Managers and supervising the work of all Case Managers. The Lead Case Manager is organized and has an efficient work schedule that is subject to extended hours weekends and possible on-call rotation.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSBILITIES:
- Assign cases immediately upon childs arrival or the next business day.
- Will ensure compliance with ORRs 7-day case Management policy (i.e. CMs work 8AM 10PM 7 days a week).
- Ensure youth are properly enrolled in programs case management system and the governments UAC Portal.
- Perform weekly audits (10% of the programs active files) to ensure compliance is being met.
- Serve as the main point of contact for approving initial placements children being transferred and for all request of information.
- Ensure Case Mangers and/or Case Aides properly close all case files upon a childs discharge.
- Prepare and submit weekly case log reports to program staff local funding source representatives and stakeholders.
- Ensure that Case Managers are training to submit Significant Incident Reports (SIRs) and SA/SIRs.
- When needed may carry a small caseload of children who have been identified as high profile or a complex case and provide case management services when case managers are unable to come to work.
- Coordinate with local pro bono attorneys for the timely provision of Know Your Rights presentation to the children in care.
- Review reunification packets prior to Case Manager submission for approval.
- Ensure the provision of two weekly telephonic contacts with family of origin primary caregiver and or sponsor is made by each child.
- Assist Case Managers in facilitating attorney and client contact as requested by the child.
- Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English; read write and speak both languages.
- Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
- Successfully pass a TB test annually.
- Successfully pass a drug screen.
- Be physically mentally and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned task.
- Pass a criminal history screen including state federal and local child protection agency registries.
- Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality.
- Affidavit for Applicants for Employment with a Licensed Operation or Registered Childrens Home.
EDUCATION:
- Masters degree in a behavioral sciences human services or social services field; OR
- Bachelors degree and at least 3 years progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management.

WORK LOCATION:
OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel in case of an emergency evacuation and as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work to meet the needs of the center and ensure that ORRs 7-day Case Management policy (i.e. CMs work 8AM 10PM) 7 days a week) is met.
