Role Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) with experience in AWS RDS/Aurora SQL Server and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cloud-based database environments ensuring performance availability and security and supporting 247 operations in a shift-based model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision configure and manage Amazon RDS instances for SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Monitor database health and performance using Amazon CloudWatch Performance Insights and custom metrics.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including patching backups and snapshot management.
- Support database migrations using AWS DMS including CDC setup and validation.
- Troubleshoot performance issues optimize queries and manage storage and IOPS.
- Implement and enforce database security encryption (KMS) and access controls.
- Participate in a 247shift rotation to support production and critical environments.
- Collaborate with application DevOps and infrastructure teams for deployments and incident resolution.
- Document standard operating procedures and contribute to automation initiatives.

Qualifications
- 4-6 years of work experience in relevant field
- or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred
