The opportunity

As a manager in our Private tax team you will have the opportunityto work with a range of exciting established large private businesses/corporates high net wealth individuals and families and entrepreneurial start-up this role you will have significant opportunities for learning career advancement and exposure to both private and corporate clients including cross-border and international tax work.

This is a hybrid position based in Meanjin Brisbane. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of diverse growth clients including privately owned corporate groups (operating in Australia and internationally) privately owned business high net wealth families trusts and other privately owned entities.
• Oversee tax compliance financial statements planning and assisting on advisory services for extensive client groups featuring diverse entity types such as companies (including tax consolidated groups) trusts partnerships and individuals.
• Working directly with Partners and senior Tax specialists in delivering consulting advice to privately owned corporate groups high-net-worth individuals family businesses and their owners on intricate tax matters including corporate restructures domestic and cross-border transactions capital gains tax Division 7A and specific trust issues.

Skills and attributes for success

• Experience in Tax Consulting ideally in a top-tier or second-tier accounting firm or legal firm.
• Experience in managing junior staff and their development.
• Advanced tax technical knowledge relevant to corporate groups trusts and individuals.

• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Tax experience preferably gained in a professional services environment in Australia
• Excellent client facing skills with the confidence to lead client meetings and build a network
