I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Maintain appropriate supply levels on nursing units including daily ordering and restocking of JIT supply carts.
2. Fulfill stockroom supply requests within 24 hours for routine orders and promptly for STAT/emergency orders.
3. Rotate stock to ensure oldest inventory is used first and check for expiration dates.
4. Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse including sweeping floors and disposing of cardboard properly.
5. Assist in restocking supplies and notify supervisors of stockouts or usage changes.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. High School Graduate or equivalent.
2. Valid drivers license in the state of residence with a good driving record.

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. Willingness to train.
Preferred:
1. Previous stockroom/inventory experience.
2. Previous healthcare experience.

Unless certification licensure or registration is required an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
