Capital Womens Care is a premier OB/GYN network serving the Greater Washington DC Northern Virginia and Maryland region. Our GYN Oncology division (MAGOPSA) is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our busy practice. Full-Time Fairfax VA
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Provide comprehensive care for assigned patients in collaboration with supervising physicians following established clinical standards procedures and protocols.
Assess plan implement and evaluate care for surgical and oncology patients including post-surgical management.
Prescribe and manage drug therapies under physician direction and in accordance with clinical protocols.
Conduct health assessments for patients with acute and chronic health conditions with a focus on gynecologic oncology.
Initiate and interpret selected diagnostic and therapeutic procedures consultations and laboratory studies.
Develop implement and evaluate collaborative practice agreements in designated clinical areas.
Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment options surgical care disease prevention and health maintenance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Serve as a clinical resource for staff and support ongoing education and training initiatives.
Stay current with developments in oncology and evidence-based practices.
Participate in approved clinical research studies as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters Degree and successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Certification and active license as a Nurse Practitioner (Required).
Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience (Gynecologic Oncology preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong clinical judgment critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel and support patients and families.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and manage complex patient needs.
