Guardian Energy Management Solutions is leading New Englands transition to smarter cleaner and more efficient buildings. Based in Marlborough MA were an energy services company (ESCO) that designs and delivers turnkey solutions from HVAC and controls to electrical upgrades and full-scale decarbonization projects. Our clients include municipalities schools and commercial property owners who rely on Guardians in-house electricians HVAC technicians engineers and project managers to reduce energy costs modernize infrastructure and meet aggressive sustainability goals.
The Opportunity
Were looking for a seasoned Account Executive to expand Guardians footprint in the energy-efficiency and capital projects market. This is a consultative sales role for a professional who understands how to identify client needs develop compelling project solutions and close high-value opportunities with confidence.
Youll have access to Guardians deep in-house technical resources giving you the ability to offer design/build solutions rather than just selling concepts. Your work will directly contribute to New Englands path toward carbon neutrality helping clients upgrade aging systems electrify facilities and reduce emissions.
What Youll Do
- Lead with strategy: Identify and qualify new opportunities across municipal and commercial sectors.
- Consult with purpose: Conduct site assessments uncover client needs and translate findings into actionable project proposals.
- Collaborate to deliver: Partner with Guardians engineering controls and electrical teams to scope and price turnkey solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle: From prospecting through contract execution.
- Build relationships that last: Develop and nurture long-term client relationships built on trust technical credibility and performance.
- Drive growth: Maintain a robust proposal pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
What You Bring
- At least 10 years of progressive sales experience ideally in energy efficiency mechanical/electrical contracting construction or facility infrastructure projects.
- A proven track record of selling to C-level or senior decision-makers in commercial or institutional markets.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Self-motivated entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working independently in a fast-paced results-driven environment.
- Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel locally within New England.
