DescriptionWhat Youll Do
As part of our dynamic manufacturing team youll play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing methods tooling and techniques to reduce setup time changeovers and equipment operation effort
- Implementing cycle time reduction strategies in bottleneck manufacturing cells
- Troubleshooting machining processes and PLC programs (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
- Modifying manufacturing processes to enhance safety quality cost efficiency or accommodate design changes
- Supporting financial goals through budgeting expenditure scheduling and project budget management
- Managing capital projects: equipment specs runoffs installation and contractor coordination
- Updating and maintaining equipment and production layout drawings
- Developing engineering solutions for recurring equipment/process failures
- Identifying and delivering departmental training to boost skill levels
- Reviewing and coordinating TPM PM proactive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime
- Owning PFMEA control plans and process flows in collaboration with the Quality Engineer
- Supporting shop floor teams with problem-solving and standard work instruction development
- Managing external contractors for process and equipment improvements
- Collaborating across all levels to enhance machinery and manufacturing processes
- Leading Kaizen activities and documenting outcomes
- Understanding key environmental aspects and related operational controls
What Youll Need
Essential:
- 2 years of experience in high-volume machining assembly and automation
- Hands-on experience with Lean Enterprise methodologies
Desirable:
- Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills
- B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
- Proficiency in MS Word Excel MfgPro Kronos
