Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking a Special Educator to provide services to students at a school district in Providence Rhode Island.

The ideal candidate will work closely with school teams to implement and develop IEPs to support students with disabilities in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements:

RI Educator Certificate

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and evidence-based instruction aligned with students IEP goals and Rhode Island State Standards across various settings.

Create implement and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) including progress reporting data collection and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Work closely with general education teachers Special Education Program Managers BCBAs and paraprofessionals to support inclusive learning and student success.

Develop and apply behavior intervention plans and positive behavioral strategies to ensure safe supportive classroom environments.

Conduct assessments collect data and track student performance to inform instruction and document growth.

Participate in professional development maintain required documentation (e.g. Medicaid web-based portfolios) and foster productive relationships with students families and staff.

Any other assigned duties.
