SALARY: $20.52 per hour
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Operate all park department related light equipment and perform other park department duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate 4 X 4 truck with plow all riding mowers lawn boys weed eaters tractors flat bed trucks dump trucks.
Assist in all park department projects using light and related equipment.
Duties including mowing hauling snow plowing and park related maintenance of all facilities.
Opens and close facilities as needed.
Ability to work with other departments on various projects Other related duties as assigned.
Ability to work independently and make necessary work related decisions Maintain records of daily work.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and 1 year experience in operating light equipment.
Any equivalent combination of relative education and experience.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule;
Ability to lift heavy objects walk and stand for long periods of time and to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions;
Ability to communicate orally and in writing;
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely;
Ability to understand follow and transmit written and oral instructions;
Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees supervisors and public.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Commercial Drivers License (Class B CDL) Endorsement or higher required
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Pickup truck miscellaneous hand and power tools tractors flatbed trucks dump trucks 4 X 4 snow equipment riding mowers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employees frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger handle feel or operate objects tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than l 00 pounds specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works in high precarious places and in frequently exposed to wet and/or humid condition fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet except when operating power equipment.

Monday - Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm May require occasional overtime as needed
