Position Overview

A Rail Products Company in Sand Springs is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inspector/Packer to inspect and package heat-forged rail track spikes according to customer and industry standards. The Inspector/Packer will split time evenly between inspection and packaging duties rotating on a formal schedule. This position requires strong attention to detail the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and a commitment to maintaining quality and consistency in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection Duties (50%)
Visually examine forged spikes for surface defects including cracks pits laps discoloration excessive scale or deformation.
Use fixed or preset gauges to verify spike dimensions and head shape.
Monitor conveyor line to prevent or clear jams and maintain steady production flow.

Packaging Duties (50%)
Operate automated filler equipment ensuring each container meets proper weight requirements.
Adjust and calibrate load scales as necessary.
Manually position and transfer filled containers to pallets.
Label containers with product information and maintain accurate production records.

Additional Tasks
Occasionally operate a forklift to move palletized kegs to the dock shrink-wrap station or temporary storage areas.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail.
Basic understanding of measurement tools and gauges.
Forklift experience preferred (training may be provided).
Strong work ethic and dependability.
