SHOP FLOOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER

SOUTHFIELD WORLD HEADQUARTERS

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shop Floor Application Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation development and a passion for modern cloud-native architectures containerization and the convergence of IT and OT systems. You will play a key role in designing developing and deploying scalable applications that bridge enterprise software with industrial devices and systems.

The Role:

Your work will include but not be limited to:

Design develop and maintain full-stack applications (C# Core Blazor etc.)
Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Integrate cloud services (Azure AWS or GCP) for scalable and resilient solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to connect IT systems with OT devices (PLCs sensors SCADA etc.)
Develop APIs and microservices to support real-time data exchange between systems
Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for streamlined development and deployment
Ensure security performance and reliability across all layers of the application stack
Participate in code reviews architecture discussions and agile ceremonies

Your Qualifications:

Experience in development
Proficiency in C# Core Entity Framework and front-end frameworks (React Vue or Blazor)
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plus)
Experience with industrial protocols and OT systems (e.g. OPC UA Modbus MQTT)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps GitHub Actions Atlassian Suite)
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs microservices architecture and event-driven systems
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Bonus If You Have:

Experience with edge computing and IoT platforms
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in IT/OT environments
Certifications in Azure AWS or Kubernetes
Experience with real-time data processing and analytics
