Work Flexibility: Hybrid or Onsite
We are seeking an experienced Metrology Manager to lead our metrology and calibration function at our state-of-the-art medical technology manufacturing facilities in Skawina Poland and Decines and Montbonnot France. This role will develop and lead a team of metrology and calibration professionals to ensure that all measurement systems are accurate reliable and compliant with industry standards. You will drive operational excellence support global harmonization initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration inclusion and continuous improvement.
What will you do
Manage remote and local Calibration/ Metrology teams to provide support and technical guidance and direction to the operational and functional areas on site
Drive local and regional collaboration and leverage expertise and resources to optimise service outcomes for internal customers
Partner with Global Sourcing to lead negotiation and monitoring of Calibration Service Contracts and performance to Service Level Agreements
Lead develop and mentor metrology and calibration teams across sites fostering a positive inclusive and high-performance work environment.
Collaborate with global and regional partners to align strategies standardize processes and leverage shared resources for cost efficiency.
Ensure compliance of all measurement systems and test equipment with regulatory and internal requirements. E.g. ISO and ASTM
Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
Support planning and execution of quality improvement initiatives including product quality enhancement NC/CAPA resolution cost reduction and risk management.
Work closely with R&D Advanced Operations production and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on measurement practices.
Provide technical expertise and support for new product development and process improvements.
Oversite to ensure that auditing of Calibration/Metrology compliance across plants is carried out and all findings are closed out.
What do you need
Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Management or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
Business Management or MBA is an advantage.
Proven leadership experience in metrology calibration or quality management within a regulated industry (medical devices pharmaceuticals or similar).
Strong communication skills in English and Polish (written and spoken); French language skills are a strong advantage.
Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 FDA MDR and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams foster engagement and build a culture of trust and accountability.
Ability to implement organisation and functional strategy. Ability to initiate and implement change with a demonstrated track record (at individual level or team level)
Working knowledge of quality tools such as SPC / Process Control FMEA Problem Solving / Root Cause Analysis Poka-Yoke and other Six Sigma tools.
Experience working in a multinational manufacturing environment preferred.
