The AWS Solutions Architect is responsible for designing implementing and scaling enterprise-grade cloud systems capable of supporting Generative AI and data-intensive workloads. This role requires deep expertise in distributed architecture system scalability and cloud-native software engineering on AWS. The architect will ensure reliability performance security and compliance across multi-environment deployments while collaborating with product DevOps and AI teams to deliver robust production-ready solutions.
What Youll Do & The Impact Youll Have
- Enterprise Architecture & System Design
- Design scalable secure and fault-tolerant architectures for cloud-native and AI-enabled applications.
- Lead architecture reviews ensuring adherence to AWS Well-Architected Framework focusing on operational excellence security reliability performance efficiency and cost optimization.
- Implement multi-region and high-availability strategies using services like ALB/NLB Route53 ECS/EKS and RDS.
- Create detailed C4 and sequence diagrams capturing integration between application data and AI layers.
- Scalability Reliability & Performance
- Architect and implement systems designed to handle high concurrency and throughput at scale.
- Apply microservices and event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda SQS SNS and EventBridge.
- Leverage auto-scaling caching and load balancing strategies for predictable performance.
- Conduct performance profiling and capacity planning to optimize infrastructure cost and latency.
- Security Compliance & Governance
- Implement end-to-end security architecture including IAM policies encryption (KMS) VPC isolation and private connectivity.
- Configure CloudArmor / AWS WAF GuardDuty and Security Hub for continuous protection and threat monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with SOC2 ISO 27001 GDPR and industry-specific requirements (e.g. BFSI Telco).
- Establish secure CI/CD pipelines with vulnerability scanning secret management (AWS Secrets Manager) and policy enforcement.
- Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for multi-environment consistency.
- Build modular Terraform modules for reusable networking compute and data infrastructure components.
- Integrate GitOps workflows for controlled releases across staging QA and production.
- Automate blue-green and canary deployments for zero-downtime model and service updates.
- API & Data Layer Architecture
- Design REST and GraphQL APIs with authentication throttling and observability baked in.
- Architect data management layers combining relational (RDS/PostgreSQL) NoSQL (DynamoDB MongoDB) and vector databases.
- Implement data encryption retention and auditing policies for enterprise governance.
- Enable real-time and batch data pipelines integrated with AI model services and analytics layers.
- Observability Monitoring & Incident Response
- Set up comprehensive monitoring tracing and logging frameworks using CloudWatch Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
- Define SLAs SLOs and error budgets for mission-critical systems.
- Establish incident response playbooks automated alerts and runbooks for key operational scenarios.
- Implement cost observability and FinOps dashboards for cloud spend visibility and optimization.
