This role is crucial for maintaining the legal integrity and efficiency of the Councils operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Prosecutions Lawyer in providing a high-quality Prosecutions Service.
- Deliver legal advice and support in criminal law and local government law.
- Handle projects and areas as allocated by the Council.
- Manage licensing matters including those under the Licensing Act 2003.
- Serve as a legal adviser to sub-committees when required.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Recent experience in prosecutions and criminal litigation within a local government setting.
- Experience dealing with licensing matters including the Licensing Act 2003.
- Ideally experience serving as a legal adviser to sub-committees.
- Preferably a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

Requirements: Admitted to the SRA or FCilex Proven experience as a practicing lawyer Strong analytical and research skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and in a team Sound knowledge of legal procedures and regulations
