Your future duties and responsibilities:

In this role you will play a key part in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of projects across CGIs UK business. Youll partner with Directors Sector Vice Presidents and project teams to deliver timely and insightful financial reporting supporting decision-making and business growth. Acting as a trusted advisor youll provide clarity on project performance guide revenue recognition and ensure sound commercial management across a portfolio valued at approximately 70m.

Youll also have opportunities to contribute to process improvement and innovation across the finance functiondriving efficiency enhancing data integrity and helping CGI continue to deliver measurable business impact for clients. Youll be empowered to take ownership of your work supported by a collaborative team that values learning curiosity and proactive problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyse & Advise: Track and interpret financial performance explaining variances and recommending corrective actions.
Ensure Accuracy: Review monthly forecasts and revenue recognition to maintain data integrity.
Collaborate & Communicate: Partner with project and finance teams to understand business drivers behind financial results.
Apply Expertise: Interpret and apply accounting principles and contract terms with sound financial judgement.
Support Audits: Prepare and review internal and external audit documentation for assigned projects.
Inform Decisions: Deliver management information including P&L and balance sheet analysis to senior stakeholders.
Drive Improvement: Support bids process enhancements and finance transformation initiatives.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

To succeed in this role youll bring a blend of technical expertise analytical ability and commercial insight. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities and confident communicating financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You should have:
Professional qualification (ACCA / ACA / CIMA).
Experience in a finance role within a project-based or service-led organisation.
Strong understanding of financial analysis accounting principles and commercial finance.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Experience with PeopleSoft or Hyperion Financial Management is desirable.
Background in IT services or contract accounting is an advantage.
