Position Overview:
Windham Academy is seeking a caring reliable and energetic Short-Term Substitute Paraprofessional to support our Kindergarten classroom. This individual will work closely with the classroom teacher to assist students with daily routines learning activities and classroom management.
Responsibilities Include:
Supporting the lead teacher with classroom activities and instruction
Assisting students individually or in small groups with academic and social-emotional tasks
Helping to maintain a safe respectful and engaging classroom environment
Providing supervision during transitions lunch recess and other non-instructional times
Collaborating with staff to ensure continuity and support for all students
Qualifications:
Prior experience working with young children or in an educational setting preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience flexibility and a nurturing attitude
Ability to follow teacher and school procedures effectively
