Cannery Packaging Operator
Pay: $26.07/HR 1.50 shift premium

Required Shift:
3rd Shift: Monday- Friday 11pm-7:30am
Job Purpose:
The Cannery Packaging Operator will be a multi-skilled packing associate who is responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our packing lines whilst ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained. The packaging operator will also play a pivotal role in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects.
What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Understanding of computer softwares (EX: MS Office email)
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
- Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform climb stairs leaning over equipment.
- Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment
- Ability to read write and understand English
Preferred Requirements:
- Technical degree or certification
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing role
- Previous experience in a packaging department
What will be your Key Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent packaging line efficiency in line with the set plan and escalate any deviation from standard or plan
- Ensure safe correct operation of all packing lines equipment and plant
- Responsible for the achievement of packaging score
- Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standard
- Actively participate in Operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance
- Monitor/test adherence to standards ensuring breaches are resolved in a timely and effective way and communication is maintained with the relevant stake holders.
- Any ad hoc requests
