Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Desired:
At least 6 months preferred but not necessary.
Experience in a retail position working directly with the public preferred but not necessary.
License Requirements:
Valid Pharmacy Technician license with Virginia Board of Pharmacy
National Certification
Skill Desired:
- Effectively reads writes speaks and understands English; possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to follow written and verbal directions
- Able to learn technical tasks including the use of automation; ability to learn and use pharmacy software including electronic third-party claims submission.
- Working understanding of pharmaceutical calculations and the metric system
- Able to work in a busy environment while staying organized prioritizing effectively and demonstrating attention to detail
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- High level of patience and compassion while taking care of patient and customer needs.
