Description

Position Purpose:

The Software development manager plans directs and coordinates all activities related to writing software programs. They must be familiar with all the policies procedures and technical issues related to software programming. The Software Development Manager is responsible for the success of the teams development and code quality. They are also in charge of managing the activities of the software development team of the organization or a specific project.

Essential Duties:

Manages all the activities of the software development group
Sets attainable goals forteam members for the project to be finished on time
Provides guides to team members to encourage work productivity
Manages multiple projects at once; ensures appropriate procedures and processes are followed when it comes to software development
Represents the software department in meetings; participates in design control activities
Monitors evaluatesand ensures the completion of tasks and projects
Approves pull requests and executes code reviews
Implements design plans reviews software tests and code commits
Documenting software development
Monitoring the status of developing software
Reviews and revises product requirements and specifications
Participates in other areas of the software development process
Provides technical support to other company personnel
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience developing within React and Python
Must be able to effectively lead a team of developers and Quality Assurance Specialists
Experience developing within React Python or relevant experience
Working with Databases REST APIs and Microservice Architecture is desired
Must be able to quickly assess complex programming applications
Must be able to keep up to date with the latest development software

Requirements:

Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Must sign the Statement of Faith
A high school diploma or equivalent education is required
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related discipline is recommended
A Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
Must pass all required checks

Experience

5 years experience in software development
Team lead or management experience desired
Experience working with Agile Development including Scrums Kanban or JIT development
Compensation is commensurate with experience
