Job Summary

Job Title	Marketing and Media Student Assistant

Work Schedule	Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm (minimum 10 hours per week)
Job Summary	The Marketing and Media Student Assistant supports departmental outreach and yield initiatives through strategic communication and creative content development. This role co-creates with the department staff implements social media plans aligned with departmental priorities collaborates with lead support to design innovative and engaging content and provides actionable recommendations for improvement. The position assists staff with the Marketing and Media (M&M) Committee assists in the development of publications that promote programs resources and services and contributes to visual media projects including photography and videography.
Minimum Qualifications	Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Required Qualifications	Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student. Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated) or who is registered for the subsequent semester. In good academic standing (not on academic probation continued probation academic dismissal). Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
Background Check	A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
