Heres how a(n)Procurement Coordinatorfor our Edmonton Industrial Managementoffice contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Procurement team in an administrative role.
  • Assists with preparation and distribution of appropriate purchase contract documents (e.g. Major Purchase Orders (MPO) rental / lease agreements Independent Contractor Agreements (ICA) and service contracts) on behalf of the department.
  • Proactively expedites and follows up on all aspects of the contract process with internal and external customers and tracks contract discrepancies documentation and certificates outstanding or overdue contracts.
  • Develops and maintains a well-organized electronic filing system.
  • Creates and maintains templates for forms letters tracking spreadsheets etc.
  • Develops and maintains customer-focused working relationships with suppliers internal and external customers and projects.
  • Identifies evaluates and escalates potential risks that could affect project deliverables.
  • Assists with general administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative capacity; experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma or certificate in office administration program is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to carry out several tasks simultaneously.
  • Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain and contract management is considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-management skills to plan organize and prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines.
