Operations Assistant Role
The Operations leader models effective facility leadership; possesses proficient managerial and organizational skills for working with issues related to the facility human resources and bookkeeping; and coaches and mentors the staff and student body to be operationally conscious. This person assists in the preparation and analysis of the schools operating budget conducts routine inspections of the school facilities and inspects that all business and state licenses are current properly displayed and renewed when necessary. He or she is also responsible for emergency preparedness and inventory.
This position will be responsible for performing general maintenance repairs and operational support accorss multiple properties or facilities. The role requires someone hands-on dependable and able to troubleshoot a wide range of issues efficiently.
Also expected to be involved in community and school events when needed. Monthly town halls etc.

The Operations Leader must have the ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights weekends and holidays as needed and to always be on call and ready to assist at all times.
Skills/Competencies Required:
- High School Graduate or equivalent and a college degree or similar experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in leadership management finance and business
- Passion for the beauty industry
- Honesty and professionalism
- Solid work history with verifiable references
- Knowledge in Paul Mitchell Schools cultural and technical systems is preferred
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing electrical carpentry painting etc.)
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct regular maintenance inspections of facilities and equipment
- Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment or furniture as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
- Oversees janitor/security
- Inventory
- Support other operational tasks as assigned by management
- School purchasing/shopping
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a maintenance/operations role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical systems. and general repairs
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable punctual and able to work independently
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Trade certification(s) a plus (e.g. HVAC electrical pumbing)
- Experience in management a plus
